You need to break out the financial arms. The majority of Ford debt is held by Ford Credit. I would guess that the majority of Toyota debt is held by Toyota Financial. What needs to be compared, since you feel it is your duty to compare Ford and Toyota, is their operational debt. Also, use the most recent financials available. ausrutherford: V6+compact car doesnt work. GM used to do that in the 80's with the 2.8 v6 in the Cavalier z24 ... those were little pocket rockets back then. Dodge did it with the 3.0 Shadow, and Ford even had the 2.5 v6 Probe. All of those were waaaay smaller than the Cruze.
