My family owns a series of dealerships - I've heard of customers negotiating buyouts with other brands, but it has always been the customer dealing with the finance company directly. I once leased a Lincoln and had a relative (dealer) follow it to auction (Ford Motor Company's agreement with the dealer states it must be done this way) and got it at wholesale, plus auction fee. There's no ...

I don't agree. The LFA will sell out quickly because there are more than 500 billionaire sportscar afficionados in the world who don't care how much it costs - they just want all the best sportscars in their garage. For the people who buy these cars, it's not a choice between a Ferrari or a Lambo and a Lexus LFA. They will have all three, plus the Ford GT, a couple of Aston Martins, etc.

Definitely something to be looked at. Corrosion must be avoided. That said, I'm equally if not more concerned about manufacturing errors, including the defective brakes that have been recently recalled by Nissan and BMW. But any and all safety issues must be priority #1. With these stories, you nonetheless get these types of comments, courtesy of IHS Global Insight (and former Ford MoCo ...

I doubt the Cadilac dealership would have done as much as Lexus has done for you. You don't have to pay for the long tow. Unfortunately, the parts depot is closed for the holidays. Eveyone's parts depots are closed for the holiday. If it were a Chevy, Ford, Infinity, MB or BMW, you probably would be looking at the same delay. You have a loaner vehicle that you are not paying for. Granted ...

http://www.autoblog.com/2009/11/20/s...saab-sold-o ve/ When the automotive history of the last ten or so years is written, one of the most curious chapters will be why big, flush with cash American car companies purchased relatively diminutive, relatively oddball Swedish brands. Ford and Volvo, while still not a match made in heaven, at least gave it a go, sharing platforms and ...
