sounds like a dead battery to me. i left the lights on the first week i owned our e34 as the chime had been disconnected. start with the obvious, jump it or charge the battery and go from there.

first thing take the battery out and have it tested. Never know how long its been in there. After that if that fails to bring a result then i would ask again.
