I know all about the electronics, ended up ripping it all out because it was soo terrible. Then used a custom made loom with a remote start feature on the alarm Used to love starting the car from my Uni halls window on a bitterly cold welsh morning, and it being toasty warm by the time I got in it!!

Min's where designed in the 1950's and as such require regular maintenance, odd handling is usually due to Front tie rods being bent or bushes worn out Front subframe mounts being worn out Front ball joints wearing due to lack of grease Rear swing arm bearing failing due to lack of grease There are 8 grease points on a Mini that need doing every couple of months, the original car was ...

lol, forum noob.. Oh, and I am a mini-fan btw! The mini gives the impression of great handling, and an involved drive. Its motoring at its most basic, front engined fwd, easily modified, and has taught (I am willing to bet) more people to tinker with cars than any other. People tend to love and rave after mini's because they were often their first cars, and almost everyone has a soft ...

I really wanted to get a mini as a first car, but it just wasn't practical for me - partially due to the price a decent example will cost you, but mainly because I don't currently have access to a garage. It would play on my mind too much to leave it parked outside in the rubbish weather we get, particularly as minis are well known for rust and corrosion issues with the bodywork. Still, maybe ...

Oh man, I'm still bothered at the fact I've lightly scratched the bottom of my front bumper I pulled over on a grass verge to help a guy who'd crashed into a ditch, then when I left once the fire truck arrived I reversed off the grass but grazed my bumper!! I was sooo ****ed off and angry at first, but now it just makes me sad She's booked in for a service and body shop this ...
